Badam Shorba

This article explains the method of preparation of Badam Shorba.

Preparation Time : 15-20 minutes
Cooking Time : 20-25 minutes
Servings : 4

Ingredients:

Almonds – 175
Butter – 2 teaspoons
Refined flour (maida) – 1.25 teaspoons
Milk – 1 cup
Sugar – 1/2 teaspoon
Salt – to taste
White pepper powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Cream – 1/4 tablespoons

Method:

Soak the almonds in hot water for few minutes.

Of the 175 almonds, slice 10 almonds for garnishing and grind the remaining almonds to make a smooth paste.

Take a pan and melt butter in that pan.

Add refined flour to the pan containing butter.

Sauté for one minute and then slowly add milk and stir continuously.

Add sugar, salt and white pepper powder and cook, and stir continuously until it comes to a boiling state.

Add almond paste and two cups of hot water and simmer for ten to fifteen minutes.

Do not forget to stir frequently until the soup thickens.

Toast the 10 sliced almonds.

Sprinkle the toasted almonds in the soup and drizzle cream.

Serve with hot.
