Fettucine Alfredo

Fettuccine Alfredo is a yummy pasta recipe. It looks great when served and it tastes even better. It is a pretty heavy dish however if you really want to indulge yourself in a great dish, this is the one.

For this recipe you will need:

- fettuccine pasta

- 1/4 cup butter

- 1 cup of cream (half and half or heavy)

- salt, pepper

-1 garlic clove finely chopped or grated

- 3/4 cup grated Romano cheese

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation:

Bring water and salt to boil in a pot and add the fettuccine pasta and let them cook. Make sure you do not overcook them as the dish might come out really mushy. Once cooked, drain them and set aside while you prepare the sauce

In a saucepan, bring to boil the cream and the butter. Lower the temperature and add the Parmesan and Romano cheese as well as the garlic, salt and pepper. Add the well drained pasta and mix it slowly.

It is common to add shrimp and salmon or broccoli. You can experiment with it and add things to your liking.
