Frightful Breadstick Fingers
Lifelike bread stick fingers give new meaning to chewing one’s nails.

Ingredients
- 1 tbs. grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. Italian-herb seasoning
- ½ tsp. paprika
- 4 Tbps. Melted butter
- 1 egg
- almond slice
Direction
1. Heat oven to 375°F. in small bowl, combine 1 tbs. grated parmesan cheese, 1 tsp. Italian-herb seasoning, and ½ tsp. paprika. Unroll 1 (11 oz.) package of refrigerated breadstick dough and cut each rectangle in half lengthwise, then slice each half crosswise into 4 equal strips.
2. Cut a small triangle from each side of one end of breadstick strips to taper it into a fingertip. Roll in 4 Tbps. Melted butter and sprinkle with herb mixture. Cut two 1/8″ deep slices crosswise into each finger to make a knuckle. Place 1″ apart un-greased baking sheet.
3. Brush tapered end with 1 beaten egg and place an almond slice (total 1/3 cup) on it to make a finger nail. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Transfer to wire rack and cool completely.
Yield: About 48 fingers
