Honey Cornflakes

Looking for bite-sized snacks to go with that cup of warm tea? Want to make a snack with very little effort? You can even get your little kids to give you a hand and have fun while making this.

Do you have a craving for bite-sized snacks to go with that cup of tea? Do you have a festive party with plenty of little kids who might get hungry or might like a teatime snack? This is one of the simplest and fool-proof recipes that you will not go wrong with. It will be a hit with both the kids and the adults.

Ingredients:

150g butter or margarine

150g honey

250g Kellogg’s cornflakes (crushed coarsely)

Method:

  • Preheat oven to 140 degrees celsius.
  • Melt butter and honey in a pot and stir constantly until the butter is totally melted. However, make sure the honeyed mixture does not burn.
  • Pour the honeyed mixture all over the cornflakes.
  • Stir well to ensure that the cornflakes are well coated with the honeyed mixture.
  • Put the cornflakes into small cupcake cups.
  • Bake the cupcake cornflakes for about 20 minutes.
  • After the cupcake cornflakes cool, place them into airtight containers to retain freshness and of course, their well-liked crunchyness.

*For added flavour, you may add 100g sliced almonds to the cornflakes.
