How to Make a Christmas Cake?

Would you like to make a Christmas cake for you family and your visitors? Here I hope to show you how to do a perfect job!

Ingredients

100 normal size egg yolks

35 normal size egg whites

2.5 Kg butter

2Kg semolina

75g butter

3Kg cashew

2.5 Kg raisin

2Kg sultana

1Kg candied peel

1.5 kg cherries

1kg ginger preserve

3kg pumpkin preserve

½ bottle Strawberry jam

½ bottle pineapple jam

3.5 Kg sugar

2 bottles (small) almond essence

2 bottles (small) almond essence

Grated nutmeg

150 g mixed spices such as cloves, cinnamon

  And cardamoms

½ bottle brandy

2 bottles (small) vanilla essence                                

Method

First, cut all dry ingredients and mix with the liquor and essence properly.

Then tightly covered it and leave aside for week.

Next, roast the semolina without colour with 75 g butter and leave aside.

Then beat the butter and sugar mixture properly and add the egg yolks as well as all the dry ingredients in to the mixture.

Finally fold in the beaten egg whites and bake at 160C for 2 ½ hours.
