How to Make Butter Scotch Cookies

A mouth-watering Butter Scotch Cookie recipie for you all!

Ingredients that you need to make butter scotch cookies -

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 3/4 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp eating soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cups chopped nuts

Method of making butter scotch cookies -

Firstly,  mix thoroughly butter, brown sugar and eggs. Then stir in sour milk and vanilla. Sift together plain flour, soda and salt, and stir in the above mixture. Then add the nuts.

Now chill the dough for some while. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of this dough about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Bake them for 10 minutes on quick moderate oven, till no imprint remains when pressed with finger. Cool the cookies and spread with browned butter glaze.

For the glaze:-

Melt 1/2 cup butter till golden brown. Blend in 1 cup sugar and 1/2 tsp vanilla. Stir in 1-2 tbsp  hot water.

Yummy ! The butter scotch cookies are ready now!
