Nutmeg Cremes

A hint of nutmeg spices up these Christmas cookies.

1 c. soft butter

1/3 c. whipping cream

2 c. flour

Nutmeg frosting:

1/4 c. soft butter

3/4 – 1 c. powdered sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

1 tsp. nutmeg

Mix butter, cream & flour thoroughly.  Cover & chill.  Heat oven to 350 deg. F.  Roll dough 1/4″ thick on well-floured surface.  Cut into sm. circles (1 1/2 – 2″).  Prick circle w/ fork 2 or 3 x’s.  Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 7-9 min. til set, not brown.  Cool.  Frost w/ nutmeg frosting.  To garnish sprinkle tops w/ nutmeg just before serving.
