Simple and Affordable Yang Chow Fried Rice
This is the best selling fried rice in most Chinese1 restaurants.

Cooking Yang Chow Fried Rice is very simple.
For those who don’t know what yang chow fried rice is, it is evident that you don’t often try out chinese dishes. Yang chow fried rice is very simple to make. All it takes to prepare this is 10 minutes, if you already have the rice, then you need another 10-15 minutes to cook the whole thing up.
Ingredients:
- 6 cups of rice
- 4 tablespoons of margarine or butter
- a teaspoon of salt
- msg
- carrots, finely diced (50 grams)
- green peas, finely diced (50 grams)
- deveined shrimps, 100 grams
- chinese sausage, 1 piece, finely diced
- eggs, 1 or 2, beaten
heat the wok, then use the margarine or the butter to saute the sausage and shrimps. Season with salt for the salt to be fully integrated to the dish. Add the carrots, green peas, and corn, add the rice after a minute of cooking the vegetables, mix well. Also add some msg or any other seasoning you’d like to sprinkle. In a separate pan, scramble the eggs using some oil. Chop up the eggs very thinly. then add those in the rice. You can add some finely chopped spring onions if you like…that could be added just before turning off the fire. Leave it for a minute before serving.
