Amazingly tasty flapjacks anyone can make and enjoy!
250g porridge oats
60g Demerara sugar
45ml golden syrup
Oven setting 180oC
Preheat the oven, and grease a shallow, oblong baking tin. Put the sugar, syrup and butter into a saucepan and stir gently over a low heat, using a wooden spoon.
Take the pan off the heat, and carefully stir in the oats. Mix well together.
Spoon the mixture into the baking tin and press down well. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown. Use oven gloves to take the flapjacks out of the oven.
Leave to cool for 5 minutes, then cut the flapjacks into fingers. When cool enough to hold, take them out of the baking tin and store in a sealed container.
