This tender loaf is full of flavor, and a family favorite. It costs less than $6.00 to make and will be a treat come Thankgiving.

1/3 cup of chopped onion;

1/3 cup of chopped mushrooms;

3 cloves of garlic, minced;

2 tablespoons of butter;

1/4 cup of dry bread crumbs;

1/4 cup of evaporated milk;

1 egg;

1/2 teaspoon of salt;

1/8 teaspoon of white pepper;

1/2 teaspoon of dried marjoram leaves;

1 pound of ground turkey, light and dark meat

Cooking Instructions

1. I preheat my oven to 350*F. In a heavy skillet, I cook the onions, mushrooms, and garlic in butter until the vegetables are tender.

2. In a large bowl, combine the bread crumbs, milk, egg, salt, pepper, and majoram and mix this up well. Add sauteed vegetable mixture and stir this up well to blend. Add the ground turkey and mix gently with your hands.

3. Form your mixture into a oblong loaf and place this onto a baking pan. Bake at 350*F for 50 to 60 minutes, until your instant read thermometer measures 170*F. Remove from the oven, cover it up with foil, and let it stand for about 10 minutes. Slice it up and serve when ready.

Happy Thanksgiving!
