Easy Meatball Recipe

published by K Kristie on Aug 14, 2008

A quick and easy way to prepare meatballs.

This recipe probably started with my grandmother but it’s not from my mom where I learned it because my mom doesn’t like to cook. I got this from her brother who was able to live with us for a while. Two years ago, I learned the wonders of ground black pepper and started to add it to some food that we usually don’t add it with. I found out that cooking meatballs without the ground black pepper really makes a lot of difference. I use McCormick pure ground black pepper.

Ingredients:

  • ½ kilo ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 large onion (minced)
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp flour or cornstarch

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients using your hand.
  2. Form into small balls or flatten into small patties.
  3. Fry in cooking oil until brown.
  4. Serve with rice.

*Pork can also be used instead of beef.
*To make it healthier, add minced potatoes and/or carrots.
