Welcome to my guide on reaching 99 in cooking! In this thread you will find when you will stop burning food, how many fish u need to “X” level, where to buy your food, how much fish cost as well as how I achieved 99 cooking.

Feel free to give me constructive criticism to improve my thread. I am open to all views and corrections.

How YOU can get to 99

Starting from level 1. Cook shrimps, Raw meat, raw chickens and bread until level 15 where you can start trout. Do this until level 25 when u should start salmon. From now on I recommend cooking salmon + trout until level 68 (if u have gauntlets) or 74 (if u don’t). Then you can start on lobsters which u will continue to cook until u move onto sharks (if you do). At 80 you are able to cook sharks, you can (if u want) start sharks at this level. However, I do warn you that u will burn a lot at this level. I recommend starting sharks at 90, 92 or 94. 94 u will burn NONE, 92 u will burn just a couple per invent and 90 u will burn around 4. if u do no want to cook sharks, then at 90 you can start monkfish and you will not burn many. People start monkfish at either 80, 85 or 90 normally.

Much debate about this, , gauntlets have affected some but not others. At 90, they should stop burning all together.
ALSO: At level 80 cooking burn rate is approximately 10%

SHARKS

You stop burning sharks at 94 with gauntlets.
You will never stop burning sharks if you do not have cooking gauntlets

You burn less often when you use a stove rather than a fire.
Also, you burn even less when you use the Lumbridge Stove.
The Cooking Guild is a good place to cook aslong as you have completed the Varrock Hard Achievement Diary. This allows you to use the bank there.
Varrock Armour 3, a Cooking Cape, or a Chef’s Hat is required for access to the guild.
The range is VERY close to the bank, and unlike the Rogue’s Den, the bank is stationary.
