Easiest way to catch octopus near shoreline.

Have you ever wonder how to catch small octopus near shoreline? There is 1 way and an in genius way of catching octopus.  During the summer(month of April) of 1995 my family went to a vacation to our relatives that lives near shoreline in Davao del Sur. Particularly Malita Davao del Sur. So I and my cousins love swimming and went in for a dip. Suddenly my foot was entangled by a nylon string , almost invisible underwater. Then I pull the nylon thinking what on its end. Then a form of glass container   appeared but something was in it. I pulled it closer and closer and got surprise that there was an octopus inside. I hold the glass jar an observed the octopus inside , the octopus realized that it is not underwater it made its way out the glass container. Fear full that my hand will get bitten by it. I throw the glass jar back to the water then the octopus swim away from me. The fisherman saw what I was doing and he yelled at me ” Hey why did you pull my traps?) I answered I didn’t know that it was a trap. He said he put ten of those traps last night for him to catch octopus. Amazed by it I ask the fisherman why do they use glass containers as traps? He answered because the beach is sandy(without rocks) and the Glass acts as weights so that it will surely go to the bottom. If he Go 20 Ft or more He uses soda cans and put rocks as its weights tied it with nylon same to glass containers tied with nylon. Better to set the glass traps at night so that when daylight comes octopus will find a safe spot for them to reside and the traps will be their form of shelter against predator. We all know that octopus can fit into any kind of hole.   You can try this way of catching octopus. Thanks to the fisherman that taught me this in genius way.
