Garden Chicken Pizza
This was one of my auntie’s recipies that I thought I would share….! Its really good food.
Ingredients (serve 6)
1 package (10 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough
4 slices bacon, chopped
2 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon refrigerated minced garlic
½ teaspoon dried oregano
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup chopped green onions
½ red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
1. Reheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Grease a 12-inch pizza pan.
3. Press pizza dough onto bottom of prepared pizza pan, making a slight edge around the outside of the crust.
4. Bake for 8 minutes.
5. Sauté the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring continually, until the bacon is crisp or about 2 minutes.
6. Drain the bacon, and set aside.
7. Add the chicken and garlic to the skillet.
8. Sauté the mixture, stirring continually, until the chicken is cooked through, about 3 minutes.
9. Stir in the oregano.
10. Sprinkle 1 cup of the mozzarella on top of the baked pizza crust.
11. Arrange the bacon, green onions, bell pepper and chicken mixture on top of the mozzarella.
12. Top with the remaining mozzarella.
13. Bake until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown, 8-10 minutes.
14. Serve Immediately.
