Healthy Mini Pizza Recipe

This recipe is great for dieters or those who enjoy healthy ingredients. Two mini pizzas for only 250 calories. Great weeknight dinner.


Are you dieting and having trouble avoiding high calorie pizza? Try making your own healthy pizzas at home. This recipe is simple, kid-friendly, high fiber, low calorie, and low fat.

Nutritional Information: For two pizzas: 250 calories, 7.4 g fat (2.9 g saturated fat), 22 mg cholesterol, 16 g protein, 993 mg sodium, 36 g carbohydrate, 9 g fiber, 8 g sugar, 290 mg calcium.

Ingredients

  • 1 Oroweat Double Fiber English Muffin
  • 2 Tablespoons (25 g) Lucerne Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/8 Cup (75 g) Muir Glenn Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce
  • 1 Spinach Leaf
  • 1 Medium White Mushroom
  • 1 Green Olive
  • 1 Slice Canadian Bacon
  • 2 Slices Hormel Turkey Pepperoni

Method

  1.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and open the muffin into two halves.
  2.  Add most of the cheese to the top of each muffin.
  3.  Add a heaping spoonful of sauce to each muffin.
  4.  Slice vegetables and add to the top of one muffin.
  5.  Slice meat and add to the top of the other muffin.
  6.  Sprinkle with remaining cheese, place on baking pan, and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  7.  Enjoy a healthy mini-pizza dinner for 250 calories.
