Jalapeno Popper Pizza
published by JessLynn on Mar 21, 2008
Looking for something different for dinner? This simple pizza is a great alternative and gives a bit of a kick.
After years of making a jalapeño popper dip, I decided to try to make it into a pizza. After several tries and major adjustments, I came up with the following recipe. You can always make your own pizza dough; but, for a quick and easy meal, I cheat and use Pillsbury refrigerated pizza crust. Be sure your jalapeños are finely chopped.
Ingredients
- Pam, non-stick spray
- One package Pillsbury refrigerated pizza crust
- One package cream cheese
- 1/8 cup olive oil
- ¼ cup pizza sauce
- 8 jalapeños, finely chopped
- 1 can (4 oz) green chilies
- 1/3 cup cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Spray a cookie sheet with Pam
- Open the pizza dough and spread evenly onto the cook
- Beat the cream cheese, oil and pizza sauce until well blended and creamy
- By hand, mix the jalapeños and chilies into the cream cheese mixture
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pizza dough
- Top with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses
- Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until crust is a light golden brown.
