Korean Bulgogi Recipe

What is Bulgogi?  Bulgogi is a very popular Korean barbecued beef dish.  Here is a recipe on how to make Korean Bulgogi at home.

Ingredients:

Beef tenderloin (about ½ pound) – sliced into strips

1 T  rice wine

1 T soy sauce

1 T sugar

Garlic – chopped finely

Ground black pepper

1 onion

2 pcs leeks

1 T cornstarch with water

2 tsp sesame oil

1 T toasted sesame seeds

Green onions, chopped finely

Method to Cook the Korean Bulgogi:

 

  1. Marinate the beef strips with the rice wine and soy sauce, sugar, chopped garlic, and ground black pepper. Marinate for about 2 hours.
  2. Cook the marinated beef with onions, soy sauce, leeks and ground black pepper.
  3. When the beef is cooked, put the cornstarch mixture in and mix well.
  4. Lastly add the sesame oil and toasted sesame seeds.
  5. Garnish with finely chopped green onions.
