A Great Way to Flavor Meatloaf

published by Tina Brazee on Aug 23, 2008

A way to prepare meatloaf that’s easier than adding bread crumbs or crackers.

I tried a different way to flavor my meatloaf and my family went wild over it. I am not a chef who prepares fancy dishes, but, I like to try new recipes. I use barbeque sauce instead of ketchup, and instead of breadcrumbs or crackers I use salt free garlic and herb seasoning.

Prepare your meatloaf as usual. Mix in the barbeque sauce, eggs, and your favorite seasoning and mix altogether. Shape into a loaf in an ungreased loaf pan, add bbq sauce on top and bake for about 50-55 minutes. This is one of my family favorites and it will be one of yours, too. Don’t be surprised if your family asks you to make meatloaf more often.

I get some great recipes from allrecipes.com and myrecipes.com. I also make up my own recipes by throwing things together for dinner, especially if I’m in a hurry and don’t have time to prepare a 3 course meal.
