Basic Meatballs

Easy meatballs for use in other recipes or by themselves. Experiment with different sauces.

Ingredients

  • 1 Lb ground beef or venison
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper     
  • 1/2 cup cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 green pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions

Method

1.  In bowl, mix ground beef, milk, salt, pepper and crumbs.

2.  Using a scoop,shape into small balls. (will be very soft)

3.  Place in a baking dish in a single layer.

4.  Mix remaining ingredients and pour mixture over meatballs. 

5.  Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

 

Dinner:  Serve over rice or pasta with salad. 

Tip:  Freeze and use in future dishes when you don’t have time to make from scratch.
