Classic Meatloaf

This basic recipe for meatloaf is budget friendly, easy, and even sneaks in some nutrition.

You will need:

1 pound lean ground beef

1 1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. black pepper

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper

1 egg, lightly beaten

6 ounces tomato sauce

1/2 cup quick cooking oats

Mix well and form into a loaf.  Place into pan and top with:

1/3 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoons prepared mustard

Bake at 375 for 1 hour.
