Corned Beef for The Slow Cooker. Crockpot Corned Beef
Recipe to cook corned beef in a slow cooker.
Here in Australia, we love our corned beef. The best corned beef is cooked as slowly as possible, and therefore is ideal for slow cookers and crock pots. This recipe is a very tasty dish passed down from my mother that is much loved in our household.
Corned Beef
2 kg corned beef
4 medium carrots, cut in large chunks
3 stalks celery, thickly sliced
3 medium onions, quartered
1 ½ cups white wine
1 bay leaf
5 cloves
Rinse the meat thoroughly under cold running water. Place in the crockpot.
Put the vegetables in the crockpot with the wine, bay leaf and cloves.
Cover and cook on low (100 celsius) for eight hours.
Serve with vegetables, white sauce and mashed potatoes.
Serves 10.
Enjoy!

I love corned beef. Unfortunately, I can’t cook it in the house because my wife detests the smell. Alas, I order it when out in a restaurant. Great recipe.
