Corned Beef Torta Pastillas

Torta was not as delicious and nutritious until milk was added to the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 ½ cups corned beef
  • 1/3 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 medium carrot, finely chopped
  • ½ medium singkamas, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup powdered milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • ¼ tsp. fine iodized salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper

Method:

  1. Place beaten eggs in a bowl. Add the flour gradually. Mix well.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix it well again.
  3. In a medium heat, put enough cooking oil in a saucepan. Fry every half a cup of mixture until golden brown. Do the same with the remaining mixture. Serve with Banana Ketchup.

Makes 5-6 servings

    It’s like a fish fillet but the only difference is that it’s filled with corned beed. I like it.
