Delicious Italian Meatballs
Simple and delicious Italian meatballs.
These meatballs are so simple and easy to make. I have made them so many times now and never stop getting comments on how delicious they are.
Preheat a non-stick pan on medium high heat. In another sauce pot you will want to start warming up your favorite pasta sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground hamburger (or whichever meat you prefer)
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup of Italian bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt (less if you prefer)
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
Method
Step 1- Throw all of your ingredients into a bowl and begin to mix them altogether.
Step 2- Shape your meatballs and place them into the preheated pan as you go.
Step 3- Brown the meatballs on all sides then place into the simmering pasta sauce
Step 4- When all the meatballs are browned and in the sauce, reduce the heat to a simmer and cover with a lid
Step 5- Let the meatballs simmer like that for about 4-5 hours or until done
The meatballs end up being so tender and so flavorful from cooking in the sauce all day. It is so easy to throw these all in a pot and just occasionally stir them here and there. They don’t need much attention at all. You can pick whatever pasta you like to serve these with.
