Easy Burger Steak Dish

published by Aya Minamino on Oct 4, 2009

Here’s an affordable and quick dish you can cook to feed a hungry group or just a last-minute dinner.

Ingredients

  • your favorite ready to cook beef burger patties available in the frozen meat section (6 pcs)
  • instant gravy mix
  • dried rosemary
  • yellow mustard
  • 1 small can of button mushrooms, sliced in half

Method

  1. Pan fry burger patties until cooked.
  2. *Tip For a smoky flavor, grill patties instead of frying
  3. Discard any excess fat left on the pan and prepare instant gravy mix according to package instructions (should make about two cups of gravy).
  4. On the same pan, cook gravy until thick. To add a home cooked vibe to it, squirt some yellow mustard and add a few rosemary leaves.
  5. Cook patties in the gravy for about 3 minutes to infuse the flavors and add the mushrooms last.
  6. To serve, spoon out the patties into a plate, top with mushrooms and pour the gravy. Best with dinner rolls, steamed rice of mashed potatoes.
