Easy Meatloaf
Cooking doesn’t have to be difficult-just grab a loaf pan and a few items from your pantry, and remember–nothing’s ever set in stone!
I love to experiment, and there’s so much room for experimentation when it comes to making a meatloaf.
Here’s my basic meatloaf recipe–with alternative suggestions (so it’s never the same old meatloaf).
Serve with mashed potatoes and gravy for some comfort food goodness!
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 pound ground italian sausage
1/2 cup italian seasoned breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons honey
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 small onion finely diced
2 large eggs
1 can tomato soup
Mix meats together in bowl-using a potato masher or hands. Blend in all other ingredients except tomato soup
Press into a loaf pan
Cover with tomato soup, undiluted. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
You can change the meatloaf by using ground chicken or ground pork, or even ground turkey- instead of italian sausage, using crushed herb croutons-instead of breadcrumbs. You can add finely diced bell peppers for some additional zing, some people even add peas or corn to their meatloaf. The varieties are endless and sure to ensure that your meatloaf will be anything but boring!
