Economy Stew
published by melmcgburson on Jan 9, 2009
A good winter meal that’s made in one pot. Save money and clean-up time, and have a good, hearty meal.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef. The lower the fat, the better.
- 1 can of Ranch Style Beans
- 1 can whole kernel corn
- 1 small yellow onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- Worcestershire Sauce to taste
- Ketchup to taste
- Garlic Powder, Salt, Pepper, and Seasoning Salt all to taste
Preparation
- Brown and drain the ground beef
- Add the pepper and onion. Cook until onion is soft.
- Add canned ingredients.
- Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and spices to top of mixture. Stir thoroughly. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook until heated thoroughly and ingredients are well-combined.
Goes great with cornbread or homemade bread.

When i first saw the title, i thought you had written a poem about our messed up present day economy. But i have to say, i like your recipe much better. Thanks.
