Filipino Pork Adobo Recipe

Pork Adobo is one of the best and most delicious dishes in Filipino cuisine. Every Filipino loves adobo. The best pork adobo recipe would of course depending of the person cooking. I will share with you how to make pork adobo. This is the best pork adobo recipe that I’m using so far. This is how to make pork adobo:

Pork Adobo Ingredients:

1 kilo of pork, cut into cubes

1/3 cup white vinegar

3 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon salt

1 head of onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoon sugar(optional)

1/2 cup water

2 tablespoon of cooking oil

few pieces of bay leaf

Pork Adobo Cooking Instructions:

  • Combine all ingredients except cooking oil in a pot and let it stand for 30 minutes.
  • Bring it to a heat and simmer covered for 1 hour or until meat is tender.
  • Drain and set aside sauce. Heat cooking oil in skillet. Brown meat on all sides. Then transfer to serving plate.
  • Add reserved sauce and cook for another 2 minutes. Pour sauce over.
  • Best served hot with plain rice.

Cooking Tips:

  • You can also use chicken breast instead of pork.

    We don’t eat pork often as well as beef and lamb but maybe this is something to try. Thank you for sharing this.
