Mary Contrary’s Kitchen Concoctions!

Recipes, hints and tips from the kitchen of Mary Contrary.

Ok folks, Welcome to Mary Contrary’s Kitchen! This recipe is the first in a series I am starting called: Mary Contrary’s Kitchen Concoctions!

Most of the recipes will be 6 ingredients or less. Will cost less than $10 dollars to prepare, (as I am a cheap heifer), will feed on average 4 people, (not that I’m anti-social), will take less than 20 minutes to prepare, (I’m lazy too), and take 2 hrs or less to cook, (I am however, a procrastinator)! Most will usually take little to no effort once they start cooking until done. (I hate babysitting food)

So off we go to the kitchen to get started with recipe #1! Happy cooking and remember to wash those hands when handling food, especially raw meats!

OMGosh! Ribs

Bake 350 Degrees

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs = (about) 6 Country cut Pork Ribs
  • 2 medium Onions, sliced
  • 2 Cups BBQ Sauce (Your favorite, or any cheap offbrand)
  • ¼ cup brown dark brown sugar (firmly packed)
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

Before you prepare your sauce, here is an option for you:

Mary Contrary’s Meat Rub

  • A sprinkle of Chili Powder
  • A sprinkle of Onion Powder
  • A sprinkle of Garlic Salt

Just sprinkle these ingredients lightly in this order over your ribs, and rub in.

Then continue recipe as follows.

Method

Mix Sauce, Brown sugar, Soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce together.

Place ribs in Roaster. Spread onions over the ribs evenly. Pour sauce over onions and ribs then cook covered for 1 ½ Hrs. Remove cover & cook for 15 to 30 minutes longer depending on desired sauciness!

Serves 2-4 (Depending how hungry the 2 are).
