Meat on a Stick with Onions

Serving are around 8. Meat on a skewer.

Ingredients

  • ¾     Teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1      Teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1      Pound round steak
  • 1      Medium onion

Method

1. Place 8 12” bamboo skewers in a 13 x 9” oblong pan. Cover with water and allow to soak for 30 minutes.

2. Cut round steak into 1” cubes

3. Cut onion into 1” chunks

4. Combine cayenne pepper and garlic salt in a sealable plastic bag

5. Toss steak cubes, a few at a time, into the bag with the seasonings. Seal and shake the coat. Remove coated cubes from bag and set aside while repeating coating process with remaining cubes.

6. Alternating thread steak cubes and onion chunks on to skewers.

7. Place skewers under broiler. Broil 4 – 5 minutes. Turn, broil another 4 – 5 minutes until meat is cooked and onions are browned.
