Minced Meatloaf

This is not your regular bread loaf, but a meatloaf.

Ingredients

  • 1kg minced meat ;
  • 1 cup tomato puree ;
  • 1 egg ;
  • 2 table spoon tomato sauce ;
  • Salt and Pepper to taste ;
  • 1 table spoon chicken stock powder.

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven.
  2. Put the mince in a large bowl and mix with the rest of the ingredients, excluding the tomato sauce.
  3. Stir till well mixed and shape firmly into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan. Bake for an hour.
  4. Check if there is any fat. Gently tip the pan and remove the fat.
  5. Spread the tomato sauce on the of the loaf and return to the oven.
  6. Bake for another ½ an hour and serve either hot or cold.
