Perfect Beef Steak
Delicious juicy beef steak with black peppercorn.
Ingredients
- 5lb boneless beef steak(up to 2″ thick)
- 2 tbsp crushed black pepper(ideally freshly crushed in a pepper mill)
- salt to taste
- 1 handful of fresh coriander leaves(chopped roughly)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Method
- Hammer the beef steak lightly on both sides or prick lightly with a fork.
- Sprinkle the crushed black pepper as well as chopped coriander on both sides pressing it hard enough to be absorbed into the steak. Leave to marinade for about 2 hours at room temperature.
- Sprinkle salt on both sides.
- Heat your grill on high.Brush little oil on each side of the steak and place over the grill.
- Allow each side to be cooked for 8-10 minutes or until the steak turns brown. Do not overcook or you’ll lose all the juices and flavours. The steak should be nicely pink from inside when cut.
- Serve hot with fresh vegetable salad.
Enjoy!
