Review of Grandpa Rechek’s Pork Steak in Barbecue Marinade

published by Steve H. on Oct 20, 2012

I purchased one of these for a couple dollars the other day. Read to find out what I thought of it.

Product Description: Pork steak marinaded in a barbecue marinade. I found this product for $1.99 per pound the other day and bought one to split with my wife at dinner last night.

What I liked about this product: I was actually pretty impressed with the flavor. The marinade only appeared to be on one side of the pork steak when I was making it so I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to taste it all that much. But, it was pretty good. It had a barbecue taste to it without it being too strong.

The pork steak was also very tender. It wasn’t tender to the point I could cut it with a fork. But, I barely needed my steak knife.

What I didn’t like about this product: It was a bit fatty. It didn’t reach the point where I couldn’t eat it. But, there were some pieces I had to throw out because I couldn’t chew them because of all the fat.

Final Opinion: Overall, I thought this was a good product and, after trying it, I would definitely consider buying it again.
