Shrimp and Ground Meat Stuffed Bell Peppers

published by Poetic Angel on Jan 12, 2009

Mouth-watering bell peppers.

Ingredients

Inredients are groundmeat, bell peppers, shrimp(precooked or uncooked), tony chacheres( a New Orleans favorite seasoning) or any seasoning you like, you can also add rice if you like

I didn’t put an amount needed for ingredients because it all depends on how many you want to make or how much you want to stuff the bell peppers.

Method

first preheat oven on 350, start cooking rice, if you’re going to add it and boil uncooked shrimp

prepare bell peppers:

wash bell peppers good

cut bell peppers in half

rinse out the inside of bell peppers and  remove the seeds

place bell peppers on cookie sheet

put them in the oven for about 10 minutes or you can put them on the stove in a pot with a little water and cover them with a top until a little softened but still firm

season groundmeat with tony chacheres or whatever seasoning you may desire. I personally use tony chacheres for everything( lol)

put groundmeat in a skillet and brown then drain the juices

put shrimp in the skillet with the groundmeat and if adding rice put that in as well

stir the ingredients up well, adding more seasoning if needed

use a big cooking spoon to fill the bell peppers with the shrimp and groundmeat mixture

you can sprinkle with parmesian or shredded cheese or any other topping you desire if you like for an extra zest

put them in the oven for about 20 minutes or until bell peppers are tender enough as you like them to be

Your Shrimp and Groundmeat Stuffed Bell Peppers will go great as a side dish to any meal. Enjoy!
