published by Kerry Webber on Jan 8, 2009

This is yummy!

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 400g Lean Beef Mince
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Tin of Kidney Beans
  • 2 Tins of chopped Tomatoes
  • 1-2 tsp of Chili Powder
  • Sprinkle of Paprika
  • Sprinkle of Worcestershire Sauce
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Mature Cheese, grated

Method

  1. Brown the onion in the olive oil in a large pan or pot, then add the mince
  2. Cook the mince until it is brown and then add the chili powder, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper
  3. Add both tins of tomatoes and bring to the boil
  4. Once the mixture is boiling, leave the pot to simmer and place the lid on the pan/pot if you have one – Leave for an hour, but stir every so often
  5. Rinse the kidney beans and add to the mince, etc. Leave for 15 mins, until beans are soft
  6. Serve in bowls with crusty white bread and grate some mature cheese on top if desired

Let me know if you like it!
