Sausage and Taters

Easy one pot dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 lbs (6 medium) potatoes, cut into slices
  • 1 kielbasa or beef sausage, cut into slices (or 6 hot dogs)
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups milk

Method

  1. Spread half the butter on bottom of larch nonstick skillet.
  2. Layer half the potato slices then half the sausage in the skillet.
  3. Sprinkle with half the flour.
  4. Dot with the remaining butter.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Repeat layers, ending with salt and pepper.
  7. Pour mile over.
  8. Bring to simmer over high heat.
  9. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook until potato slices are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  10. Uncover skillet and simmer until sauce thickens
