How to Eat Lobster

Start with the claws. Here you’ll find lobster meat that is succulent and tender. Pull off the two front claws to remove and crack them open. A nutcracker is a good tool to use for this.

Next move on to the tail, where the really sweet lobster meat can be found. Flip the lobster over and holding onto the body with one hand, slowly twist the tail round gently to remove it. Take off the end flippers. Scrape out the juicy meat from within

.

Don’t forget the main body cavity where there is also plenty of meat to be found. Crack the back lengthwise in order to prise out the tasty meat from inside. Pull out the sand sac which is situated near the top and discard as this is not edible.

The greenish ‘Tomalley’ which can be found inside the body of the lobster is thought to be a great delicacy.
