Prawn Chilli Fry

The splendid thing about Indian cooking is that most of the recipes can be prepared in advance and the dishes then heated just before servings without coming to any harm.

3 tablespoons oil

3 onions sliced

2 green chillies chopped

2.3 cm piece ginger chopped

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric

salt

227g frozen prawns

Method

Heat the oil in a pan add the onions and fry until soft and golden. Add the chilies, ginger, chili powder. turmeric and salt to taste and fry for 2 minutes.

add the prawns and cook uncovered for about 3 minutes or until all the moisture has evaporated. This is very good served with Dal and rice.
