Mixed or Single Vegetable Recipe with Improved Health Benefits
Variety of vegetables like: Cauliflower, Mushrooms, Pak Choy, Red Cabbage, Green or String Beans, Fresh Green Peas, Winter or Summer Squash, Spinach, Broccoli and many more. All this vegetables can be stir-fried, try experimenting with some new and exciting vegetables not mentioned. We are talking veggies today, but beans of all varieties are also a great. Vegetables are a nutritional powerhouse that forms the foundation of healthy eating. Frozen vegetable can be found in freezer isle, and fresh vegetable from vegetable section in supermarkets.
Mixed vegetable or single vegetable ingredients similar below:Ingredients
- ½ Packet of any frozen or fresh veggie of your choice
- 1 Carrot thin sliced
- 1 Stalk of celery thin sliced
- 3 Button mushrooms sliced
- ¼ Onion sliced (red has better antioxidants)
- ½ Tomato cut into thin slices
- ½ Red or green sliced bell pepper
- ½ 2 stalks of finely chopped green onions
- ½ Tofu diced
- ¼ Teaspoon minced garlic
- ¼ Teaspoon minced ginger
- ¼ Teaspoon of Sesame seeds (add only if you choose too)
- 2 Teaspoon of soy sauce
- ¼ Teaspoon “K n o r r” – all purpose seasoning
- ½ cups tender precooked grilled chicken strips or shrimp
- (buy precooked chicken — you can find it in the freezer aisle)
Method
Place fry pan over medium heat, add ¼ teaspoon cooking oil any kind, olive oil is better. In the hot oil add garlic, ginger, stir in onions sauté till light brown; stir in diced tomatoes, bell pepper and carrots sauté for 2 minutes. Stir in your preferred veggie with grilled precooked chicken/shrimp sauté 3 minutes and finally stir in tofu cover the sauce pan for 1 minute. Finally add 1 teaspoon of soy sauce with ¼ teaspoon of “k n o r r” all purpose seasoning and a pinch of sea salt. Cover the sauce pan leaves it over low heat for 3 minutes. Off the heat sprinkle ¼ teaspoons of sesame seeds, leave it covered for 2 minutes to cool. Stir and is ready to eat.
Cook the vegetables 6 to 8 minutes over low/medium heat until tender. More choices can be found in Chinese supermarkets, you find wide variety of minced ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sweet & sour sauce, chili sauce, garlic chili sauce and much more. Extra ingredients enhance extra special taste. My favorite sweet & sour sauce. Avoid adding butter or cheese to all you’re cooking.
