Pepper Garlic Beans

This is a dry preparation best eaten with hot cooked rice, and Moru Katchiyathu (Curd Curry).

Ingredients

  • Black eyed beans (Indian Beans ) cooked-1 Cup
  • Black pepper corns-5 crushed
  • Garlic-1 flake-crushed
  • Cayenne pepper powder-1 pinch
  • Salt- To taste
  • Oil- 1 tsp
  • Mustard Seeds-1/4 teaspoon.
  • Curry Leaves- A Few

    Method

  1. Place a frying pan on fire, add the oil and when it gets hot, add the mustard seeds. When the mustard splutters
  2. add the garlic flake and fry until it gives off a nice smell. Add curry leaves and put in the beans salt,  and the  peppers. Stir fry for a minute and when dry, take off fire.
  3. Serve as a side dish with hot rice and Curd Curry.
