Rajma Recipe
How to make punjabi rajma.
Ingredients:-
- 2 cups of rajma (red kidney beans)
- salt to taste
- 1 pinch of turmeric
- 2 onion, chopped
- Garlic cloves-15, chopped
- 3 inch ginger, chopped
- 4 green chillies chopped
- ½ tea spoon corriander sabut
- ½ tea spoon cumin
- red chilli to taste
- bay leaf 1
- cloves 5 no
- dalchinni 2 pcs
- oil – 2 tea spoon full
- handfull corriander leaves
- asafoetida
- tomato 5 no
PREPARATION
- Wash and soak rajma for 4 hours..
- Put salt, turmeric and aestofida and rajma. Pressure cook the rajma for 1 hr. Keep off the heat.
- Heat oil in a pan, add clove, bay leaf,dalchini . Then add garlic until they turn light brpwn then add onion, fry until they turn brown, then add ginger then add cumin and lal mirch. Then add tomatoes fry it for 15 minutes.
- Now add rajma and stir.
- Again give pressure for 10 minutes.
- Remove from fire and garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapattis and rice.
