The Best Mac ‘N Cheese Ever

The cheesiest mac n cheese that taste oh so delicious.

My step mom likes to cook for the family during special occasions or holidays, and on this Father’s day she made a wonderful macaroni and cheese dish that was baked!  My favorite food on the planet is probaly  macaroni and cheese, and I always add more cheese when I am making it! Here is the recipe she came up with and used this past weekend.

Ingredients

  • Box of elbow mac. noodles or if you like other noodles/pasta go right ahead!
  • Cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup regular cheddar cheese
  • Velveeta cheese to layer on top-about 1/2 cup shredded
  • Stick of butter to grease the  13×9 casserole dish

Method

  1. You want to first pre heat the oven to about 375 and get the water boiling for the macaroni noodles; get the noodles cooked(about 10 minutes depending on the noodles used) .  Drain the water from the noodles and set in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Once you have the noodles in the bowl, add the cup of cream as well as the sharp and regular cheddar, or whatever style of cheese you decide to use.  Mix well,  and set aside.  Now, if you are like my family, you will add in about 1/2 cup more of cheese, preferably  sharp cheddar!
  3. Grease the casserole with the stick of butter, coating it well!  Dump in the macaroni mixture and top with the remaining cheese! 
  4. Bake for approx. 30 min and then enjoy!  Cover while baking with foil, and I would recommend letting cool for a few minutes before digging in! You will love it!
