How to cook the perfect Aloo Gobi, a potatoes and cauliflower dish, which is great accompaniment by curry.

The secret is about to be reveled, its so easy to make and delicious  that you will wonder how you ever lived without it.

Firstly and sorry to be obvious but you will need about 6 medium sized potatoes, 1 large onion and a cauliflower.

Ingredients

  • Garam Masala
  • Coriander
  • Cumin
  • Turmiric
  • Curry powder
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Fresh coriander
  • Fresh ginger
  • Fresh Garlic

Lets begin to unravel the mystery and revel the secrets

Method

First Slice the onion and start to fry in oil gently, add a pinch of salt and then the fresh Garlic and ginger

Whilst this is simmering on low and the onions are turning transparent, start to peel and chop the potatoes into small cubes (it is important that they are small or they will not cook properly.

Now add all the above spices to the onions approximately 1/2 teaspoon of each (apart from salt or the fresh coriander)

Stir and again leave to simmer

Now cut the Cauliflower, again make the florets quite small so they cook nicely.

Add both the potatoes and the cauliflower to the onions and stir around so they all get coated in the spices

Stir often to stop the vegetables from sticking to the pan, if they do start to stick add some water and place a lid over the top so they start to steam cook too.

When vegetables have gone soft add some chopped fresh coriander

That’s it how simple is that enjoy
