Very Easy Mojos Recipe

published by Aya Minamino on Oct 4, 2009

Mojos is a tasty potato side dish served and made popular by Shakey’s. This is very easy to make at home since there is no need to measure and the few ingredients are easy to purchase.

  • potatoes (Idaho or any baking potatoes)
  • milk
  • salt
  • instant fried chicken breading mix
  • oil for deep frying

Wash potatoes and leave the skins on. Slice these into thin rounds

Season the potatoes lightly with salt and dip these in milk before dredging into the fried chicken mix. Using instant fried chicken breading mix saves time in mixing up your own breading and tastes good.

Deep fry the potatoes until light golden brown and drain in paper towels. To achieve crispiness, deep fry these for the second time, this time until golden brown. Drain excess fat. Serve with either ketchup or gravy
