For a yummy, quick easy family meal see this recipe.
Ingredients
- 4 (6 ounce) boneless, center cut pork chops, 3/8ths thick (I recommend using the pork tender loins)
- 1/2 cup of Italian Salad Dressing
- 1/2 cup Barbecue Sauce (the honey barbecue works really well, adding an extra flavor)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
Method
- In a small bowl, stir together salad dressing, barbecue sauce and chili powder. Place the pork chops in a plastic container (a tupperware that is big enough for all pork chops works best). Coat the pork with 1/2 cup of sauce. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for 30 minutes or overnight (I have not done this overnight, but I find the 30 minutes works just fine). Drain the marinate from the pork and throw away.
- Heat nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Place pork chops in a skillet and cook for a few minutes on both sides (5-7 minutes I have found, want to cook well).Pour remaining sauce over the pork and cover pan. Turn heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve with sauce, immediately. (I recommend using one of the skillets that you plug in rath than a pan on the stove).
Serve with a vegetable and some sort of pasta side. Also make some muffins or rolls, for a complete family meal in no time.
