Cheeseburger Salad

All the great cheeseburger taste with less fat and less guilt! A fast and easy salad that feels like you’re cheating on your diet.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2  Small Red Onion
  • 2  Plum Tomatoes
  • 3/4  lb Extra Lean Ground Beef
  • 1/2 cup finely sliced Dill Pickles
  • 3/4  cup Ketchup
  • 1  Tablespoon of mustard
  • 8  cups of Romaine lettuce
  • 1  cup of Light Cheddar Cheese shredded

Method:

  1. Brown the ground beef in a frying pan.  Drain off the fat and rinse.
  2. Shred the romaine lettuce into bite sized pieces. 
  3. Dice the onion and tomatoes.
  4. Combine the ground beef with ketchup, mustard and pickles in a medium sized mixing bowl.
  5. Arrange the lettuce, onion and tomatoes onto plates.
  6. Pour the ground beef mixture over top of the vegetables.
  7. Top with the shredded cheese.
