Chick Pea Salad with Onions
A quick alternative to a regular leafy side dish.
This is a quick and easy recipe for a chick pea salad, it is inexpensive to make, and great for frugal times. Chick peas are also quite healthy. You can have this as a side dish, or before you have your lunch.
Ingredients
- A can of chick peas or two depending on the size of the family.
- An oil based salad dressing such as Italian, or my favorite is Greek with Feta, ¼ cup should do.
- 2 Tablespoons of Italian herbs.
- One cup of cut up onions.
- One clove of garlic minced.
Method
Place all contents into one bowl and mix. Use your better judgment on how much salad dressing to use, it should be moist not dry, but not so much fluid at the bottom of it, that it looks like soup.
