Hamburger Salad
This salad is served as a main dish and meets requirements for a Diabetic diet or for anyone. It is inexpensive, easy, tasty and good for you. Yeah, I said it, Hamburger good for you!
Ingredients
2 Pounds Lean ground Beef
1 Head Lettuce (chopped) or use the pre-shredded kind
1 large onion (chopped)
2 Cucumbers (sliced) optional
3 Large Tomatoes (chopped)
1 12 oz Package of shredded cheese (any flavor)
3/4 cup Mayonnaise or miracle whip
1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
1 Jar crisp dill Pickle Spears
Directions
Cook Ground beef until done. Make sure it is broken into pieces Drain and rinse the beef in cold water. Add beef to lettuce, onion, cucumbers, tomatoes,and cheese. toss and stir mayonnaise into mixture, until coated. stir in mustard powder. Cover and place in refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes Serve Salad with Dill Pickle Spears and hard rolls Place condiments such as Salt, Pepper, and green olives stuffed with pimento, on the table.
