How to Make a Mcdonald’s Big Mac at Home

published by authorsynth on Dec 17, 2009

Ok so it’s basically like this. You’re hungry. You want a burger. You want a burger from McDonald’s. Better yet, you want a Big Mac from McDonald’s but you don’t want to get in your car and go get it. It’s cold. It’s raining. You’re lazy, whatever. That’s ok! It’s time to learn how to make one at home that tastes exactly like the one good old Mr. Ronald McDonald makes for you.

This may or may not be something you want to brag about to your friends, but when your friends are hungry (and broke) they will be praising your almighty burger skills. Here’s what you need to do:

Step 1: To make the Special Sauce, mix together half a cup of mayo, 1 Tablespoons of french dressing, 1 Tablespoons of sweet pickled rellish, a little minced onion, a little sugar, a little white vinegar and some salt.

Step 2: Mix everything together until it is nice and smooth and then cover the secret sauce and put it in the fridge.

Step 3: Roll about 2 ounces of burger meat into a small ball.

Step 4: Repeat step 3 so that you have two balls of meat, for your two patties.

Step 5: Put the meat down on some wax paper and flatten it with your palm. Use your fingers to keep the edges clean and circular. Remember McDonald’s patties are thin so your patties should be too!

Step 6: Use another piece of wax paper on the top to flatten it more if necessary and put it in the freezer

Step 7: To make the middle bun, simply take a seseme seed hamburger bun and horizontally slice the bottom third of the top bun.

Step 8: Take out the frozen burger meat (when you are ready to cook it) and place it on a preheated skillet or frying pan.

Step 9: Add a little salt and pepper on each patty. Cook for about a minute or two on each side, until meat is well cooked.

Step 10: Add half a tablespoon of sauce to the bottom bun and the middle bun.

Step 11: Add a half teaspoon of onion to the bottom bun.

Step 12: Put some chopped up lettuce on the bottom and middle bun.

Step 13: Put a slice of american cheese on the bottom bun

Step 14: Put 2 pickle slices on the middle bun.

Step 15: Put one burger patty on the cheese and another burger on the middle bun.

Step 16: Place the middle stack on top of the bottom stack, and on top of everything place the top bun.

Congratulations you just made your very first McDonald’s Big Mac right out of your very own kitchen and it wasn’t even that difficult!
