Tasty main meals for family and friends are easy to prepare.

Supreme Baked Chicken

1 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing

1/4 cup lemon juice

2 tablespoons tarragon, basil or oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt

1  2 1/2 to 3 pound broiler-fryer, cut up

sesame seed

Combine salad dressing, lemon juice and seasonings; mix well.  Pour over chicken; chill several hours or overnight.  Place chicken, skin side up, on a rack in a baking pan.  Reserve salad dressing mixture.  Bake at 425 degrees, 35 minutes, brushing occasionally with salad dressing mixture.  Sprinkle with sesame; continue baking for 5 minutes or until tender. 

Beef Stew

1 1/2 pound ground beef, browned

4 cups raw potatoes, cubed

1 cup carrots, sliced

1 cup celery, sliced

1 cup onion, chopped

1 can tomato soup

1 can cream of mushroom soup

6 to 8 tablespoons water

salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients together and put in large casserole or medium size roaster.  Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for approximately 1 1/2 hours, or until vegetables are done.

BBQ Pork Chops

The Sauce

1 cup water

2 cups tomatoes

1 green pepper, chopped

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon chop suey sauce

1 cup white vinegar

1 onion, chopped

1 teaspoon mustard

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

Use medium-thick pork shops.  Salt, flour and fry.  Bring sauce ingredients to a boil and pour over fried pork chops.  Simmer for 1 hour until soft.
