Succulent mutton chunks cooked in a tomato and onions gravy topped with crispy,deep-fried potato strips.
- 1/2 tbsp ghee
- 3 onions,chopped fine
- Half tsp chilli powder
- Half tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 500 g mutton,cubed
- 2 tomatoes,chopped
- 2 green chillies,chopped
- Salt,to taste
- 1 half tsp jaggery
- 1 half vinegar
- Coriander leaves,for garnishing
- 4 potatoes,julienned
- 200 ml oil
- Heat ghee in a pan,and try onion until golden brown.
- Add powdered spices and ginger-garlic paste,and saute for a minutes.Add the mutton and fry till brown.
- Add tomatoes,green chillies,salt and a little water,and cook until mutton is almost done.Add jaggery and vinegar and cook until done.Remove from heat and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Soak potato strips cold,salted water for a few minutes.Drain and deep-fry in hot oil until crisp.Sprinkle over the top of the mutton and serve hot.
