Succulent mutton chunks cooked in a tomato and onions gravy topped with crispy,deep-fried potato strips.

  • 1/2 tbsp ghee
  • 3 onions,chopped fine
  • Half tsp chilli powder
  • Half tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 500 g mutton,cubed
  • 2 tomatoes,chopped
  • 2 green chillies,chopped 
  • Salt,to taste
  • 1 half tsp jaggery
  • 1 half vinegar
  • Coriander leaves,for garnishing
  • 4 potatoes,julienned
  • 200 ml oil
  1. Heat ghee in a pan,and try onion until golden brown.
  2. Add powdered spices and ginger-garlic paste,and saute for a minutes.Add the mutton and fry till brown.
  3. Add tomatoes,green chillies,salt and a little water,and cook until mutton is almost done.Add jaggery and vinegar  and cook until done.Remove from heat and garnish with coriander leaves.
  4. Soak potato strips cold,salted water for a few minutes.Drain and deep-fry in hot oil until crisp.Sprinkle over the top of the mutton and serve hot.
